The number is up 0.2% from the same week of the previous season (79,188). The variation in addition to the calculated average of 68,682 cases in the last five seasons, excluding pandemic seasons, was 15.6%.
According to INSP, 1,540 cases of clinical influenza were reported at national level in the same period, as against 921 cases in the same week of the previous season and 2,413 in the previous week.
The following was also reported: 37 cases of laboratory-confirmed cases of influenza, of which 21 cases of unsubtyped influenza A virus, 5 cases of AH3 influenza virus, and 11 cases of influenza B virus.
As of April 6 1,155,488 people vaccinated against influenza were recorded in the National Electronic Vaccination Register (RENV).
