Mesajul, scris integral în limba engleză, face referire la o presupusă sumă de 649 de milioane de euro alocată de Comisia Europeană pentru inițiative care, potrivit lui Simion, ar urmări cenzurarea opiniilor conservatoare în spațiul public european.
Declarația lui George Simion survine în contextul înfrângerii sale la alegerile prezidențiale, iar AUR continuă să promoveze un discurs anti-sistem și eurosceptic, intensificând atacurile la adresa liderilor și instituțiilor europene.
Până în acest moment, Comisia Europeană nu a comentat acuzațiile lansate de liderul AUR.
